After five decades of travelling the globe to play golf and to designplaces where golf is played, I have been fortunate enough to experience some of the world's most beautiful areas. One of the more inviting destinations I've recently enjoyed is Murcia.

With more days of sunshine per year than many other European locations, great local culture and fantastic food and wine, there's little chance of missing home.

The region's heritage, such as Murcia City's beautiful cathedral and Casino, beaches and coastal towns steeped in history, mean that while enjoying the sunshine you can also soak up the culture. And, of course, there's the golf. The sunny climate and versatile landscape combine to make Murcia an ideal location for good golf.

Soon to be home to some of the finest courses in Europe, Polaris World is putting Murcia on the map for golf enthusiasts.
